Spring 2013

Since losing my mother thirteen years ago, I have struggled to make sense of the grief – holding it and making peace with it.

THIRTEEN is my exploration on the themes of identity, loss, mourning and memory. In the work, I strive to capture the pain, guilt and regret felt about my mother’s passing.

Creating this series of images was emotionally challenging but ultimately gratifying.

Here are a few paintings from the show.
